Spider-Man: Homecoming, the fourth film in the series, had great expectations after the success of No Way Home. Before the release of the third film, speculation emerged that Sony was already working on a fourth feature featuring Tom Holland.
Amy Pascal, a former Sony executive, corroborated this in an interview. Pascal stated that subsequent editions, such as Spider-Man 4, would aim to surpass No Way Home in “quality and emotion,” but that “spectacle” would not be the primary goal at this time.
Spider-Man 4 isn’t expected to be released for a while because Marvel is too busy with their Phases 5 and 6 filming schedule. But an exciting update explained what role Spider-possible Man would have in future Marvel storylines.
A possible release date for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4
According to Alex Perez of Cosmic Circus, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are mulling around a July 12, 2024, release date for Spider-Man 4.
Both Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, and Amy Pascal, former co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment, have already confirmed that Peter Parker’s tale will continue.
Accordingly, we were aware that plans for a fourth film starring Tom Holland were being formulated. This movie has the potential to kick off a new trilogy. No one knew when it would be released to the public.
But if this report is to be believed, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are already planning the release dates for Spider-Man 4. The most likely date is July 12, 2024, according to the reports.
The addition of a specific year opens the door to many intriguing possibilities, such as the introduction of previously established characters or even crossovers with other works.
Deadpool 3, Daredevil: Born Again, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, etc. are just a few of the MCU movies and shows that fans can look forward to in 2024.
To say that it would be incredible to see Wolverine, Deadpool, Daredevil, and Spider-Man all in the same year would be an understatement.
However, fans are convinced that Peter Parker will eventually cross paths with the likes of Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, Susan Storm, and Johnny Storm in the role of superhero.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (so far) 2024 slate, including films and television shows, is as follows:
- Spring 2024, Daredevil: Born Again
- Deadpool 3 is scheduled for release on September 6, 2024, while Captain America
- New World Order is set for release on May 3, 2024.
- On November 8, 2024, Fantastic Four will premiere.
- Incoming Freshman Spider-Man (2024)
- “Marvel Zombies” in 2024

When Spider-Man 4 Comes Out, How Does That Affect Phase 5?
According to the theory, Spider-Man 4 will hit theatres just 12 days after Thunderbolts. As of now, it’s unclear which of these films will be relocating, but there’s reason to assume that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures will find a way to make room for both.
In reality, Spider-Man: No Way Home isn’t the first time this has happened. The threequel’s initial release date of July 16, 2021, was then pushed back to November 5, 2021, the same day Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was set to hit theatres.
As a result, the release date for Thor: Love and Thunder were moved from February 18 to February 11, 2022, and the release date for the Doctor Strange sequel was moved to March 25, 2022.
Given that the most recent Spider-Man films have all opened in July, it’s probable that Thunderbolts, which has been promoted as the climax of Phase 5, maybe the first to relocate (Far From Home was released on July 2, 2019).
If this decision is made, it might set off a chain reaction that drastically alters the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phases 5 and 6 slate, delaying the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga until the following two Avengers films.
Whatever the reason, this change is encouraging since it suggests there are more adventures to be had by Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
