Apex Legends Season 13

Apex Legends Season 13

Release Date and New Legend Revealed

Developed by Respawn Entertainment and distributed by Electronic Arts, Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle-royale-hero shooting game. In February 2019, it was released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch; in March 2021, it was released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

In a short video released last week, Apex Legends creator Respawn Entertainment hinted at the return of Spectres from the Titanfall series. New details regarding Season 13, “Saviors,” have been released by the game’s developer, including the latest Legend. Newcastle made his debut in a brand new trailer alongside the other Legends in a fight against Spectres. Respawn hasn’t revealed anything about the robots or their potential involvement in the upcoming season, so this is all speculation at this point. Apex Legends, Titanfall, and Titanfall 2 have tied once again.

Several similarities between Titanfall and Apex Legends have surfaced in recent years thanks to the games sharing the same environment. There was a specter in the Season 5 trailer, thus some fans are unsure if they’ll make an appearance in the game. Until then, we can only wait for an official announcement from Respawn, but with Season 13 due to launch on May 10th, we shouldn’t have to!

New Legend: Newcastle

Newcastle is a legendary defender in Apex Legends, and the video below shows just how good he is at defending his teammates. In addition to his personal shield, which resembles Gibraltar’s Gun Shield, we see him use a greater barrier that appears to be capable of withstanding huge damage.

Apex Legends is presently playable on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. All of our prior coverage of the game is available here.
